In recent years, isolated bidirectional converters utilization has been developed. In numerous fields like electric automobiles, photovoltaic (PV), charging and discharging of batteries, etc., isolated bidirectional converter could be exploited. DAB converter is used in many industries as good one due to their more benefits. However, the range of zero voltage switching (ZVS) is desired to be expanded at small amount of loads. As a result, this paper increases the zero voltage switching range in DAB DC-DC converter through bidirectional buck-boost converter cascading. Consequently, utmost output power will be managed in an expanded range of ZVS. The performance of the presented system is evaluated with the help of MATLAB Simulink software. © 2022 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
