Over the years, the Indian pharmaceutical business has become a major global supplier of medical facilities and pharmaceuticals. The Internet of Things offers the pharmaceutical industry opportunities for individualized market prospects, controlled manufacturing environments, predictive equipment maintenance, and enhanced supply chain management. IoT, combined with AI and big data analytics, allows tracking of patients and consumers using connected devices and wearable sensors. This conceptual exploratory study highlights the potential of Pharma IoT to improve transparency, safety, and competitiveness in the Indian pharmaceutical industry, enabling tailored product development and better production distribution strategies. © 2023 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
