Abstract

This study explored the relationship between hemoglobin glycation index (HGI) and cardiovascular risk factors in 200 non-diabetic adults. Higher HGI correlated with increased total cholesterol, triglycerides, LDL-C, and VLDL-C. HGI can be used as a simple indicator to identify cardiovascular risk in non-diabetic individuals, with further studies needed to validate these findings.
