Abstract

This study reports the fabrication of highly ordered TiO₂ nanotube arrays using two-step anodization. Pt nanoflake coatings were added via electro-deposition and hydrothermal treatment. Characterization (FESEM, FTIR, XRD, contact angle) confirmed structural enhancement in second anodization. Pt-TNT2 showed superior electrocatalytic activity and near-superhydrophobic behavior. Due to high non-wettability, Pt-TNT2-coated materials can be used in food-processing equipment for easy cleaning. © 2022 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
