Advancements in construction and concrete technology will reduce the consumption of natural resources. Utilisation of ceramic waste for concrete production is one of the highly significant active research areas in civil engineering. This paper deals with the importance and application of ceramic waste in the construction industry because it was settled and dumped in sedimentation, which affects the environment and agriculture. Utilizing such material in the construction industry by replacing other conventional materials in a certain percentage will save the environment. Furthermore, this research article provides a valuable information for future scope and progress, which will have a high possibility of creating awareness and the overall efficiency of ceramic waste in construction industry. This paper will discuss previous works reported in this area with real-time practice. This information and research outputs will give companies and vendors an idea to apply ceramic waste in building materials, which also helps for the infrastructure development. © 2022 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
