Abstract

The widespread use of devices based on power electronics has made power quality an important aspect in today's world. Power electronics-based equipment is being utilized frequently by contributing to an increase in power quality issues in industries and distribution areas. Due to a number of factors, the power quality is subpar. Swell, sag, overvoltage's, under voltages, harmonics, and other signs of an improvement in power quality include. The outdated technology used to improve power quality is no longer sufficient. One contemporary gadget that corrects voltage and current flaws instantaneously is a Amalgamated Power Quality Conditioner (APQC). Shunt Active Power Filter (PAPF) and Series Active Power Filter (SAPF) are two components that make up the Amalgamated Power Quality Conditioner (APQC). The Spontaneous Energy Optimization Algorithm will be a power conditioning tool that can correct a variety of power quality problems. Additionally, utilized voltage sag compensation, APQC filters both current and voltage harmonics. On power distribution networks or industrial power systems, APQC has the capacity to increase power quality at the point of installation. This paper focuses a strategy for raising the series APF's voltage compensation performance. The current hysteresis control system is strengthened to achieve this improvement. © 2024 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
