Cyber-Physical Systems (CPS) are multifaceted complex systems that combine the physical, network, and computing worlds. The security of CPS has grown crucial because of its vulnerability to assaults brought on by network connectivity and embedded computers. The research examines the primary network attack types and detection strategies, as well as CPS security assessment and control. This study concludes by outlining the major difficulties encountered in the research on CPS network attacks. A study on the ways in which artificial intelligence enhances several aspects of cyber security, the magnitude of cyber attacks has also increased over the past ten years with the rise in computer use. The majority of computers are networked; therefore, they could be the targets of cyber-attacks. Due to these online dangers, cyber security is growing in importance within the field of information technology. Dealing with cyber-attacks created by hackers is the primary responsibility of cyber security field. Cybercriminals are now creating extremely complex and hazardous cyber-attacks by using the developments in information technology. © 2024 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
