For this study, the emission characteristic of yellow oleander seed biodiesel isanalyzed using single hole nozzle at various loads. This analysis is done using Variable Compression Ratio engine with constantspeed and single cylinder. Yellow oleander seed biodiesel is prepared from its bio-oil using transesterification method. The comparison is done among four blends of yellow oleander biodiesel with diesel B20, B40, B60 and BO (which is diesel with no blend). The performance of the engine is studied and the characteristics of the emission gases are also analyzed. Carbon dioxide(CO2), Oxygen(O2), Nitric Oxide(NOx) emission is more for the biodiesel blend whereas Carbon monoxide (CO) and Hydro Carbon (HC) emission are more for Diesel. © 2023 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
