Abstract

Many scholars have been conducting extensive research on alternative energy sources to overcome the problem faced by the fossil fuels. For this reason alternative energy is the right solution to overcome the depletion of fossil fuels. In this paper, behavior of VCR engine is studied by using dual combination of biodiesel and its blends namely jatropha methyl ester and soapnut methyl ester. The biodiesels mentioned above are blended in the ratio of (15:15) and reading are taken for B20. B40, and B60 proportions. The results implies reasonable improvement in performance & emission characteristics of engine without any changes made in original setup. © 2023 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
