Abstract

In this presort work the expenment was conducted to investigate the perfonnance and emissions by means of changing the nozzle holes of the injector such as 2 hole and 3 hole by keeping the hole diameter as 0.25mm. The experiments are carried out on Kirloskar 4-stroke computerized single cylinder water cooled and electncal dynamometer attached DI diesel engine with diesel and tomato seed oil B20 Blend as fuels at 1500 rpm, with the injection pressure of 200 bar retained conlant during the expenment. It is bringing into being that 3-hole nozzle gives sophisticated brake thennal efficiency and specific fuel consumption at 40 percent load for B20 blend. Also the NOx emission is also less compared another nozzle hole. © 2023 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
