Abstract

The objective of the project is a robust manufacturing process with Consistent quality on repetitive operations, reduced operator fatigue, improved productivity, improved safety and Zero defect on identified critical product. These objectives are being met through implementation of planned activities towards process automation, Error Proofing & improved material handling. The piston ring assembly assembly done by manual setting with manual pressing of cover plate This project aim is to design and fabricate the fixture for piston rings assembly and cover plate assembly process automation.
