Abstract

Serum Cyclophilin A (CyPA), a chaperone protein released during oxidative stress, was evaluated as a biomarker for preeclampsia in 120 South Indian women. PE patients had significantly elevated CyPA levels (34.58 ± 5.53 ng/mL) compared to healthy pregnancies (7.41 ± 7.7 ng/mL). ROC AUC was 0.971 with 98.33% sensitivity and specificity. CyPA may serve as a novel biomarker for preeclampsia.
