Abstract

Cerebral edema is classified as vasogenic, cytotoxic, interstitial, trans-ependymal, and osmotic. Vasogenic edema involves blood-brain barrier disruption with gray/white matter differentiation; cytotoxic edema affects both with loss of differentiation. A young female presented with seizures and hemiparesis, initially suspected as cortical ischemic stroke but later diagnosed as glioma. © 2023 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
