Abstract

This study examined tyrosinase inhibition and antioxidant activity of Barleria prionitis root extracts using ethyl acetate solvent. Tyrosinase inhibition was assessed through IC50 values, with ethyl acetate extract showing the strongest activity by reducing inhibition concentration. Antioxidant activity was evaluated using the DPPH radical scavenging assay, with ethyl acetate extract demonstrating superior antioxidant capacity. These results indicate that the ethyl acetate root extract exhibits strong tyrosinase inhibition properties, supporting melanin production and offering therapeutic potential for Vitiligo. © 2025 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
