The aluminum metal matrix composite (AMMC) is gaining importance in various industries due to its advantages such as high strength-to-weight ratio, good wear resistance, and reduced density. In this study, AMMC was developed using aluminum 7075 reinforced with 5% and 10% boron carbide. Electrochemical micromachining experiments were conducted using an L18 orthogonal array. Specimen 1 contained 5% boron carbide and specimen 2 contained 10%. The tool electrode used was 0.5 mm in diameter, and sodium nitrate was used as the electrolyte. TOPSIS and PCA were used to determine the optimal parameter combination for machining speed, diametral overcut, and delamination factor. The optimal parameters for specimen 1 were electrolyte concentration 35 g/L, voltage 11 V, and duty cycle 70%. ANOVA revealed that duty cycle was the most significant factor, contributing 53.5%. © 2023 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
