Abstract

An infrastructure like massive power plants and transmission lines has to be built because of the rise in electricity demand. The planning and operation of power systems, however, have recently tended to focus on making the most of the electricity that is already available. Due to transmission line distance and environment, transmission line loss happens. Predictive Power Control Algorithm (PPCA) is used in the suggested strategy to reduce losses and increase voltage. The proposed strategy has lower losses and voltage fluctuations while enhancing the power factor. Some electric utilities have created three levels to stop voltage decline and enable greater utilization of D-STATCOM reactive power supplies. The system compensator is controlled by the suggested PPCA, which also improves system stability and decreases total harmonic distortion (THD) by 6.11%. Charging systems can bring value and extra services to the functioning of the distribution system, such as voltage regulation, by carefully managing the inverters. © 2024 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
