Electric vehicles (EVs) offer the advantage of being eco-friendly, making them a great alternative to traditional fuel-powered vehicles. This work introduces an innovative interleaved synchronous rectifier with an isolation transformer for EVs and charging systems. To enhance charging performance, it employs synchronous rectification. The key components include a High Frequency (HF) full-bridge inverter and an HF isolation transformer, which are crucial for EV chargers to safely connect to the power grid. The design incorporates a Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) control circuit in the single-phase high-frequency inverter to reduce costs associated with generating sinusoidal pulses for transistor switches. Numerous individuals are making use of EVs as a result of high demand and price of fuels. Normally, to charge these EV vehicles, electricity is essential. The controller accomplishes nonlinear switching converter control and increases converter's durability. The hardware prototype DSPIC30F4011 microcontroller are employed to analyze the performance of this approach. © 2024 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
