Abstract

As the use of micromachining in high precession industries like astrionics, development, power, fabric, automobile, transportation, and pharmaceutical is growing, the necessary to understand the vital role played by laser machines the fabrication of micromachining is also inevitable. The main advantage of using micro-material is fabricating of highly magnificent formations, in the dimensions in-between a few microns and a few hundred microns. It can also be used widely for fabricating metals, non-metals, composite materials, and thin foils. Laser machine can be used in almost all type of micro-materials. Laser machines various configurations like moving material, hybrid, and flying optics systems are also made the production of various 3D shapes with high manufacturing resolution and high design. This study aims understanding laser micromachining and its various applications. It has been also extended in studying the need and challenges by using this method. © 2024 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
