The main objective of our project is to make the manual drive centrifugal pump using screw conveyor like structure. In this world most of the villages had an electric power scarcity, so it is difficult to run the pump for pouring water to the plants small agricultural lands from lake pond or any water passages in this places they are unable to use the electric motors and manually operated pumps whish costs high, in order to overcome this we are going to make a project simple, cheap and easy to use manually by means of hand rotation. In this project, we are going to construct a screw conveyor using a hallow drum and a flexible hose which is mounted and fixed on the hallow drum like a screw shape, and one side of the drum is submerged inside the water and other end is connected to the bearing and the rotation handle. When we rotate the handle, the drum rotates, and due to centrifugal force, mechanical energy is transferred into pressure energy. The water from low level is moved to upper level easily. © 2024 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
