Abstract

Workplace harassment is a significant concern in Indian academic libraries. This study surveyed 100 female library professionals in May 2024 to assess prevalence, types, contexts, perpetrators, and effects on well-being and job performance. Findings show high harassment prevalence, mainly by colleagues, impacting psychological health and job satisfaction. Recommendations include integrating security measures, improving reporting procedures, and enhancing support systems to foster inclusive, respectful environments.
