The total amount of greenhouse gases that people, businesses, industries, or activities emit, either directly or indirectly, is known as their 'carbon footprint.' It acts as a gauge for how human activity affects the environment and fuels climate change. All emissions produced throughout the manufacturing, use, and disposal phases of goods and services are considered when calculating this footprint. Lowering a carbon footprint can be accomplished through strategies such as utilizing renewable energy reduce energy use, opting for public transport, implementing sustainable agricultural and food practices, and reducing waste through recycling. By taking steps to minimize carbon footprints, both individuals and organizations can play a critical role in combating climate change and promoting environmental sustainability. To reduce carbon footprints, enhance sustainable development, and properly forecast environmental changes by using data mining methods to provide actionable insights. It proposes a carbon footprint app that actively calculates the carbon footprint of the individual. The app stores the data of the individual and validates the user's carbon footprint every month and encourages the users with attractive gift vouchers as incentives depending on the percentage reduction of their carbon footprint. The user can customize the incentives as per their need. This encourages the users to actively participate in carbon footprint reduction and save the earth from climatic changes. © 2025 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
