Abstract

This project presents an innovative autonomous electric vehicle (EV) system that integrates Arduino, battery technology, ultrasonic sensors, and Bluetooth connectivity to create a smart and energy-efficient mode of transportation. The Arduino serves as the central control unit, efficiently managing the vehicle's operations and ensuring seamless integration of various components. Powered by a robust battery system, the EV delivers consistent performance while minimizing environmental impact through its electric propulsion. Incorporating ultrasonic sensors enhances the system's autonomy by enabling obstacle detection and avoidance, thereby improving safety and reliability. Bluetooth connectivity facilitates effortless manual control, empowering users to command the EV with ease when needed. Furthermore, the inclusion of a camera provides live streaming for a first-person view on a laptop, enhancing user experience and situational awareness. This amalgamation of technologies results in an innovative and user-friendly autonomous electric vehicle system, showcasing the potential for advancements in electric transportation mobility solutions. By harnessing the power of cutting-edge technology, this project demonstrates the feasibility and benefits of electric and autonomous vehicles in shaping the future of transportation towards sustainability and efficiency. © 2025 Elsevier B.V., All rights reserved.
